ABOUT LOVELESS RECORDS

Loveless Records was co-founded in Seattle back in 1999 by 4 guys with the same vision. Pete Nordstrom, John Richards, Eric Richards and Michael Hukin started the label under the unified vision of releasing cutting edge music by deserving, unknown artists. With a mission to bring quality music to the masses, Loveless Records is the future of independent music.
PETE NORDSTROM
What person is better qualified to run an independent record label than someone who was raised in a successful business family? Pete Nordstrom has been employed at Nordstrom since he was 12 years old and has worked his way up from stockperson to President of Merchandising. Along with Pete's deep roots in business, he has been involved in the Seattle music scene for years as a musician. Pete plays guitar and bass and currently is a member of The Mellors where he plays bass.
JOHN RICHARDS A.K.A. JOHN IN THE MORNING
It's no surprise that John Richards is the man behind the music at Loveless Records. As "The Morning Show" host, local music-show producer and program director at Seattle's eclectic radio station KEXP, he is the first person to get his hands on new music. With an ear for talented musicians, John worked his way up from a volunteer in 1995 to become one of the most influential DJ's in music today.
SAM JONES
Sam Jones is the latest addition to the Loveless team. As a long time friend of Loveless and producer of Tom Brosseau's "What I Mean to Say is Goodbye", Sam decided to join the Loveless crew full time. Whether he's playing in a band or working in a recording studio, Sam has been involved in music throughout most of his life. A renowned magazine photographer and commercial director, Sam is best known for his breakthrough work on "I Am Trying to Break Your Heart," a documentary about the Chicago-based band Wilco. As director and cinematographer of the film, he followed the band through the trials and tribulations of making their fourth album, "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot."
ERIC RICHARDS
Eric, a designer and programmer by trade, has owned and operated '4-mile Production' since 1997. After working in Seattle for a large firm, Eric decided to move back to his hometown near Spokane, WA where he works from home with his eyes and ears focused on the booming Colbert, WA music scene. With Eric's artistic talents, he is responsible for the Loveless Web site, logos and any graphic designs used by Loveless Records.
AMY BAUER
Leaving her cushy day job doing PR for Microsoft, Amy is currently running the day-to-day operations of Loveless Records. Even though her specialty is PR, Amy is the one who listens to every demo that is sent to Loveless. She asks nicely that you only send in demos that don't suck. Seriously. She hates listening to crap demos. Amy can also be spotted around town at any one of Seattle's fine music venues checking out local and national artists alike. If you see her out, be sure to buy her a beer, especially if she's there to see your band.
KATE WEBER
Kate has been with Loveless Records since the beginning. She keeps everyone in check at the label and is an integral part of the Loveless team. She handles a wide variety of duties including licensing where she coined the term " G.A.R.M." If you want to know what it means, you'll have to ask her. On second thought, don't ask.
